GOODNESS overflows!

Are you celebrating GOODNESS in your life?? We are celebrating GOODNESS at Kids' Connection! We learned about young Daniel and his friends from the Bible. He and his friends chose to follow God when others were choosing not to. God showered Daniel and his friends with GOODNESS in their lives because of their decision to follow God. We also celebrated God's wonderful creation as a sign of His GOODNESS. GOD is SO GOOD!!

Thank you to MOC-FV high school students, Dani, Trevor, Lauren, Jen and Laura, for sharing so eloquently your memorized speeches. Good luck at State Speech Competition tomorrow!! You did an awesome job at Kids' Connection!!!

Thank you to Jay Weilenga for sharing your shuffle board with us! The children were very engaged and excited to play shuffle board. The prizes weren't bad either! :)

And, again, thank you to ALL of the capable, valuable, and wonderful volunteers for taking time to read books, hot glue flowers onto hats, build wood puzzles, drive bus, serve snacks, do hard math homework, vacuum, play pool, take pictures, help with preparation, sign children in and out, etc. We couldn't have Kids' Connection if it wasn't for all of you!! Thank you!!!

All of the GLORY goes to our GOOD and Gracious GOD in Heaven! "Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever!" Psalm 23:6

'March'ing on toward GOODNESS

We've experienced a great start to learning about GOODNESS at Kids' Connection this past week. Lisa Laird and Pockets Full of Fun celebrated GOODNESS with a puppet show and our verse: "Hate what is wrong and hold tightly to what is GOOD!" She showed us a box that magically changed what was not good to something very GOOD! On Thursday we celebrated God's creation. At the end of each creation day in the book of Genesis, God saw everything He had made and said, "It is good." Our 'Going Bananas' party was fun, too. All 92 children and lots of volunteers met upstairs in the Fellowship Hall and enjoyed 'Minute-to-Win it' games incorporating bananas, ping pong balls and prizes!!

We are also learning a verse from Psalm 23: "Surely GOODNESS and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever."

Next week, we will make homemade cards, bake cookies, play shuffleboard and many other fun activities. We will play BINGO and meet the K-9 dogs from the Sheriff's department during the third week of March.

Our service project for the month of March is designing and coloring place mats for the hospital patients at the Orange City Area Health System and for the residents at the Long Term Care and Heritage House nursing homes and Landsmeer Retirement Home. We've been able to send over about 35 place mats already!

Please join us for all of the fun at Kids' Connection!
